Public Transportation in Würzburg
At Würzburg Hauptbahnhof take bus no. 14, 114 or 214 to Campus Hubland Süd. If you take line 14, get off at the stop Am Hubland. Then follow the footpath onto the campus (do NOT cross the street) which leads straight to the entrance of the central lecture hall building Z6 (first building on your right hand side). If you take either line 114 or 214, get off at the stop Philosophisches Institut, cross the intersection in a straight line and turn after crossing immediately right into the road "Am Hubland". The first building on the left is the central lecture hall building Z6.
Traveling by Train | Conference Ticket
The conference ticket by Deutsche Bahn
Infinite Science GmbH, in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, offers the conference ticket at a fixed price independent of the route length. There are two possible options: Booking either a ticket with a fixed train connection or a fully flexible ticket. The booking is made online, payment is made by credit card. This ticket is only valid for train travel within Germany.
From the north (Kassel/Fulda via A7) Leave the autobahn at exit 101 Würzburg/Estenfeld following the signs to B19 Würzburg/Estenfeld/Rimpar. Turn left at "Rottendorfer Straße" and go uphill until the 2nd traffic lights. Turn right into "Am Galgenberg" and go to "Am Hubland" (you will be seeing the campus when arriving at this intersection). Turn right into "Am Hubland" and immediately left again into "Theodor-Boveri-Weg". The building on your left hand side is the central lecture hall Z6.
From the south/west (Frankfurt via A3 or Stuttgart via A81/A3) Leave the autobahn at exit 70 Würzburg/Heidingsfeld and follow the road onto B19. Follow B19 far through the city and turn right onto "Rottendorfer Straße". Go uphill until the 2nd traffic lights. Turn right into "Am Galgenberg" and go to "Am Hubland" (you will be seeing the campus when arriving at this intersection). Turn right into "Am Hubland" and immediately left again into "Theodor-Boveri-Weg". The building on your left hand side is the central lecture hall Z6.
From the south/east (Nürnberg via A3 or Ulm via A7/A3) Leave the autobahn at exit 72 Rottendorf and follow the road onto B8 (Dettelbach). Leave B8 at Gerbrunn and at the next intersection stay on "Kitzinger Straße" by turning right. Follow "Kitzinger Straße" to its end and turn right into "Am Galgenberg". Follow the street to the second traffic lights and turn left into "Am Hubland". Turn immediately left again into "Theodor-Boveri-Weg". The building on your left hand side is the central lecture hall Z6.
Follow "Theodor-Boveri-Weg" for a few more meters and you will find ample parking on you left hand side. Please take care not to park in the areas marked as "Employees only" by signs. Additionally, there is another parking lot across the street from the lecture hall that can be accessed via "Am Galgenberg". Also, there are plenty of parking lots along the streets "Am Hubland" and "Theodor-Boveri-Weg". All parking is free.
Traveling by Plane
Airport Frankfurt (FRA) Airport Frankfurt is the closest Airport. From there, you may take the ICE train to Würzburg (see www.bahn.de). The journey takes about 1.5 hours.
Airport Nürnberg (NUE)
Alternatively the airport Nuremberg is also possible. This airport can be the better choice for flights within Europe. Take the U2 (underground) from the airport to the Hauptbahnhof (main station), there take the ICE to Wuerzburg. Journey time just under 1.5h
